Round 2 SubmissionsWelcome to the first season of Step Up 2 the Mic! - a singing contest for kids 8-12. This is your chance to appear on national TV. You could win a recording deal, a scholarship and a home studio! Top contestants will work with vocal and production coaches. The top 3 contestants will compete for the grand prize at WM Studios in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Think you have what it takes to be a singing sensation? If you are between 8 and 12 years old, send us a video of you signing A Cappella. You can pick any song, any style of music. If we approve your video, it will appear on this site for others to see and vote on. The top 50 semi-finalists will be chosen and appear on the show - broadcast across the country!
FINAL CONTEST EXTENSION: Show us what you’ve got! It is free to enter so send in your video. Winners will be chosen based on a combination of popular votes and judges. The deadline for submissions was May 1, 2013. Voting ended May 15, 2013. The top 50 contestants will be named on May 31, 2013. The show will start airing in June, 2013. Network to be announced. The contest is open to kids 8-12 who are US citizens or permanent residents residing in the US. More details...
How do I enter?
Submit a video approximately 1 minute in length of you singing A Cappella (perform it solo with no background music). You can choose any song and style of music. Learn some video tips to make your video stand out! Then complete the signup form and upload your video: click here to enter.
What is the deadline?
The last day to submit videos is May 1 2013. Submit early to start piling up the votes! Check out the show this summer!
